Alexander Hickey was born on May 15, 1985, in New York City. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his mother being a pianist and his father a cellist. From a young age, Hickey showed a natural talent for music, and he began playing the violin at the age of four. Hickey's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking lessons with renowned violin teachers, including Itzhak Perlman and Pinchas Zukerman. Hickey's dedication and hard work paid off, and he quickly became one of the most promising young violinists of his generation. In 2003, Hickey was accepted into the Juilliard School, where he studied with Dorothy DeLay and Itzhak Perlman.
