Roman Widaszek is a Polish classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a talented violinist. Born on May 5, 1995, in Krakow, Poland, Widaszek grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a violinist, and his mother was a pianist. From a young age, Widaszek showed a keen interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of five. Widaszek's talent was quickly recognized, and he began studying at the Karol Szymanowski Music School in Krakow. He later went on to study at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in violin performance. Throughout his career, Widaszek has won numerous awards and accolades for his performances. In 2012, he won first prize at the International Violin Competition in Kloster Schöntal, Germany. He also won first prize at the International Violin Competition in Szczecin, Poland, in 2013. In 2014, he won the Grand Prix at the International Violin Competition in Wrocław, Poland. Widaszek has performed with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Sinfonia Varsovia. He has also performed at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Carnegie Hall in New York. One of Widaszek's most notable performances was his debut at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 2015. He performed the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, receiving critical acclaim for his performance. The Guardian described his playing as "dazzling," while The Times praised his "technical brilliance and emotional depth." In addition to his performances as a soloist, Widaszek is also a passionate chamber musician. He has performed with some of the world's most renowned chamber ensembles, including the Szymanowski Quartet and the Apollon Musagète Quartet. Widaszek is also a dedicated teacher and has given masterclasses at some of the world's leading music schools, including the Royal College of Music in London and the Juilliard School in New York.
