Armin Thalheim was born on May 12, 1985, in Berlin, Germany. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Armin showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Armin's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly progressed, displaying a natural ability for the instrument. By the age of ten, Armin had already won several local piano competitions and was gaining recognition as a prodigious young talent. His performance of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor, Op. 27, No. 2, also known as the "Moonlight Sonata," was hailed as a revelation and cemented his status as a rising star in the classical music world. Over the next few years, Armin continued to perform at major concert halls and festivals around the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic. He also collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. In 2010, Armin released his debut album, which featured works by Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt. The album was a critical and commercial success, and Armin was praised for his sensitive interpretations and technical virtuosity. In 2012, Armin was awarded the prestigious International Classical Music Award for his recording of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major, Op. 73, also known as the "Emperor Concerto." In addition to his performing career, Armin is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. He has taught masterclasses at some of the world's leading conservatories, including the Juilliard School in New York and the Royal Academy of Music in London.
