Born in Vancouver, Canada, in 1996, Ahfat showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. His parents, who were both musicians, recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Ahfat's early training was under the guidance of his mother, who was a piano teacher. He quickly progressed and began participating in local competitions and festivals. At the age of nine, he won the Canadian Music Competition and was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City. This was a significant achievement for the young pianist and marked the beginning of his career as a professional musician. He also attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied with Yoheved Kaplinsky and Julian Martin. During his time at Juilliard, Ahfat won several awards and competitions, including the Gina Bachauer International Young Artists Piano Competition and the Juilliard Concerto Competition. Ahfat's talent and hard work paid off, and he began to receive invitations to perform at major venues and festivals around the world. In 2015, he made his debut with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, performing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2. Since then, Ahfat has performed with several other orchestras, including the National Arts Centre Orchestra, the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also given solo recitals at prestigious venues such as the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels.
