Andrew Zolinsky is a British classical pianist who has established himself as one of the most exciting and versatile musicians of his generation. Born in London in 1975, Zolinsky began playing the piano at the age of four and showed an early talent for the instrument. He studied at the Purcell School of Music and later at the Royal College of Music, where he was awarded the prestigious Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Scholarship. Zolinsky's career as a professional pianist began in earnest in the late 1990s, when he won several major competitions, including the Royal Overseas League Piano Competition and the Dudley International Piano Competition. These victories helped to establish him as a rising star in the classical music world, and he quickly began to attract attention for his virtuosic playing and his ability to bring fresh interpretations to even the most familiar works. Over the years, Zolinsky has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras and conductors, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. In 2003, he was awarded the Royal Philharmonic Society's Young Artist Award, and in 2010 he was named a Steinway Artist. He has also been praised by critics and audiences alike for his recordings, which include solo works as well as collaborations with other musicians.
