Laetitia-Quartett is a renowned classical music ensemble that has been captivating audiences with their exceptional performances for over two decades. The quartet was founded in 1994 in Berlin, Germany, by four talented musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The founding members of Laetitia-Quartett were violinists Annette Walther and Annegret Kuttner, violist Ulrike-Anima Mathé, and cellist Matthias Diener. All four musicians had already established themselves as accomplished soloists and chamber musicians before coming together to form the quartet. From the very beginning, Laetitia-Quartett set out to explore the vast repertoire of chamber music, from the classical masters to contemporary composers. Their dedication to their craft and their exceptional musicianship quickly earned them a reputation as one of the most exciting and innovative chamber ensembles of their generation. Over the years, Laetitia-Quartett has performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls and festivals around the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Salzburg Festival, and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. They have also collaborated with some of the most renowned musicians of our time, including pianist Menahem Pressler, clarinetist Sabine Meyer, and cellist David Geringas. One of the highlights of Laetitia-Quartett's career was their performance of the complete string quartets of Ludwig van Beethoven at the Konzerthaus Berlin in 2008. This ambitious project took the quartet over two years to prepare, and their performances were hailed as a triumph of musicianship and interpretation. Laetitia-Quartett has also been recognized with numerous awards and accolades throughout their career. In 1996, they won the prestigious International Chamber Music Competition in Osaka, Japan, and in 2000, they were awarded the German Record Critics' Award for their recording of the string quartets of Arnold Schoenberg. In addition to their performances and recordings, Laetitia-Quartett is also committed to music education and outreach. They regularly give masterclasses and workshops for young musicians, and they have been involved in several projects that bring classical music to underserved communities. Despite changes in personnel over the years, Laetitia-Quartett has remained true to their original vision of exploring the vast and diverse world of chamber music. Their commitment to excellence and their passion for their art continue to inspire audiences around the world, and they remain one of the most respected and beloved chamber ensembles of our time.More....
