Mária Kovalszki was born on May 12, 1985, in Budapest, Hungary. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Kovalszki showed a natural talent for music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Kovalszki's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She began taking lessons with renowned violin teachers in Hungary and quickly gained recognition for her exceptional talent. At the age of 12, Kovalszki won first prize in the National Violin Competition in Hungary, which marked the beginning of her successful career as a classical musician. Kovalszki continued to study the violin at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, where she received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees. During her studies, she had the opportunity to work with some of the most renowned violinists in the world, including Itzhak Perlman and Maxim Vengerov. After completing her studies, Kovalszki began performing as a soloist with orchestras around the world. She quickly gained a reputation for her exceptional technique and musicality, and her performances were praised by critics and audiences alike. One of Kovalszki's most notable performances was at the Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2010. She performed the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with the New York Philharmonic, under the direction of conductor Alan Gilbert. In 2007, she won first prize at the International Violin Competition in Indianapolis, which is one of the most prestigious violin competitions in the world.
