Born on November 4, 1967, in Stockholm, Sweden, Hallenberg grew up in a family of musicians. Her father was a cellist, and her mother was a pianist, which exposed her to classical music from an early age. Hallenberg began her musical training at the Adolf Fredrik Music School in Stockholm, where she studied piano and voice. She later continued her studies at the University College of Opera in Stockholm, where she received her diploma in 1994. She quickly gained recognition for her powerful voice and expressive performances, and she soon began to receive invitations to perform at major opera houses and festivals around the world. In the years that followed, Hallenberg continued to perform at major opera houses and festivals around the world, including the Royal Opera House in London, the Salzburg Festival, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York. She also began to focus more on concert and recital performances, where she could showcase her versatility as a singer and her deep understanding of the classical repertoire. In addition to her performances, Hallenberg has also been recognized for her recordings. She has recorded numerous albums of classical music, including works by Handel, Vivaldi, and Bach.
