Dudgeon attended the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied under some of the most prominent music teachers of the time. He excelled in his studies and graduated with honors. After completing his studies, Dudgeon began his career as a concert pianist, performing in various venues across the UK. Dudgeon's talent and dedication to music soon caught the attention of music critics and audiences alike. He was praised for his technical proficiency, musicality, and ability to convey emotion through his performances. His repertoire included works by some of the greatest composers of all time, including Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, and Bach. One of Dudgeon's most significant performances was at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 1972. He performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, also known as the Emperor Concerto, with the London Symphony Orchestra.
