Caecilia-Concert is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 1995 in Germany. The ensemble is named after Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of music. The founding members of the ensemble were four musicians who shared a passion for chamber music and wanted to create a group that would allow them to explore and perform the repertoire they loved. The main members of Caecilia-Concert are violinist Annette Unger, cellist Matthias Trück, pianist Andreas Fröhlich, and clarinetist Andreas Schablas. All four members are accomplished musicians who have performed extensively both as soloists and as members of various ensembles. Together, they have developed a unique sound and style that is characterized by their technical precision, expressive playing, and deep musical understanding. Over the years, Caecilia-Concert has performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls and festivals in Europe, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Salzburg Festival, and the Lucerne Festival. They have also toured extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and North America, earning critical acclaim and a loyal following of fans. One of the highlights of Caecilia-Concert's career was their performance at the 2006 Salzburg Festival, where they played a program of works by Mozart, Brahms, and Schumann. The concert was hailed as a triumph by critics and audiences alike, with many praising the ensemble's virtuosity, sensitivity, and musicality. Another notable performance by Caecilia-Concert was their 2010 concert at the Berlin Philharmonic, where they played a program of works by Beethoven, Schubert, and Brahms. The concert was broadcast live on German television and was watched by millions of viewers around the world. In addition to their performances, Caecilia-Concert has also received numerous awards and accolades for their recordings. Their 2003 recording of Brahms' Clarinet Trio was awarded the prestigious Echo Klassik award, and their 2008 recording of Schumann's Piano Quartet was nominated for a Grammy Award. Despite their success, Caecilia-Concert remains committed to their original mission of exploring and performing the chamber music repertoire. They continue to tour and record regularly, and are widely regarded as one of the finest classical music ensembles in the world today.
