She was born into a family of musicians, with her father being a renowned pianist and her mother a violinist. From a young age, Anneliese showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Anneliese's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She began taking piano lessons with her father and quickly progressed, displaying a natural ability for the instrument. By the age of ten, Anneliese had already won several local piano competitions and was gaining recognition as a prodigious talent. At the age of twelve, Anneliese was accepted into the prestigious Vienna Conservatory, where she studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Professor Franz Schmidt. Under his guidance, Anneliese's skills as a pianist flourished, and she began to develop her own unique style and interpretation of classical music. Anneliese's breakthrough performance came at the age of sixteen when she won the International Piano Competition in Salzburg, Austria. Her performance of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor, Op. 27, No. 2, also known as the "Moonlight Sonata," was hailed as a masterpiece and earned her critical acclaim from the judges and audience alike. Following her success in Salzburg, Anneliese began to receive invitations to perform at major concert halls and festivals around the world. She made her debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2003, where she performed a program of works by Chopin, Liszt, and Beethoven to a sold-out audience. Over the years, Anneliese has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Vienna Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the London Symphony Orchestra. She has also collaborated with many renowned conductors, including Daniel Barenboim, Sir Simon Rattle, and Riccardo Muti. Anneliese's repertoire is vast and includes works by many of the great composers, including Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff. She is particularly known for her interpretations of the works of Chopin, which she has recorded extensively. In addition to her performances, Anneliese is also a dedicated teacher and has taught masterclasses at many of the world's leading music schools, including the Juilliard School in New York City and the Royal Academy of Music in London. Anneliese has received numerous awards and accolades throughout her career, including the prestigious International Classical Music Award for Best Solo Instrumental Recording in 2012. She was also awarded the Austrian Cross of Honour for Science and Art in 2015, in recognition of her contributions to the arts.
