Artist Info
Birth:1983 in RomeSimone Vallerotonda is a classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a guitarist, lutenist, and conductor. Born in Rome, Italy in 1989, Vallerotonda grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to classical music from a young age. His father was a guitarist and his mother was a singer, and they both encouraged him to pursue music as a career. Vallerotonda began playing the guitar at the age of six and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. He studied with some of the best guitarists in Italy, including Stefano Palamidessi and Arturo Tallini, and went on to earn a degree in guitar performance from the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome. In addition to the guitar, Vallerotonda also became interested in the lute, a stringed instrument that was popular in the Renaissance and Baroque periods. He studied with lutenist Paul O'Dette at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, and later earned a master's degree in lute performance from the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Switzerland. Vallerotonda's talent as a musician quickly caught the attention of the classical music world, and he began performing at major venues and festivals around the world. Some of his most notable performances include a solo recital at the Wigmore Hall in London, a performance with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment at the Royal Festival Hall in London, and a concert at the Berlin Philharmonic. In addition to his work as a guitarist and lutenist, Vallerotonda is also an accomplished conductor. He has conducted orchestras and ensembles in Italy, Switzerland, and Germany, and has been praised for his ability to bring out the best in his musicians. Vallerotonda has received numerous awards and accolades for his work as a musician. In 2012, he won first prize at the International Guitar Competition "Michele Pittaluga" in Alessandria, Italy, and in 2014 he was awarded the prestigious "Premio Abbiati" by the Italian music critics' association for his work as a lutenist. Despite his success, Vallerotonda remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to perform and record music, and is passionate about sharing his love of classical music with audiences around the world.More....
