Kristiina Mäkimattila is a Finnish classical pianist known for her virtuosic performances and sensitive interpretations of a wide range of repertoire. Born on May 22, 1975, in Helsinki, Finland, Mäkimattila showed an early aptitude for music and began piano lessons at the age of six. She quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument and began to pursue a career in music. Mäkimattila's early training was rigorous and comprehensive. She studied at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, one of the most prestigious music schools in the world, where she received instruction from some of the finest teachers in Finland.
