Markus Hohti is a Finnish cellist and conductor who has made a name for himself in the classical music world. Born on May 12, 1985, in Helsinki, Finland, Hohti showed an early interest in music and began playing the cello at the age of six. He was a prodigious talent and quickly gained recognition for his exceptional musical abilities. Hohti's early musical education was at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned cellist Marko Ylönen. He later went on to study at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, Germany, where he received further training from cellist David Geringas.
