Lois Anderson was born on May 12, 1985, in New York City. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Lois showed a natural talent for music and began taking piano lessons at the age of four. As she grew older, Lois became more interested in classical music and began studying the violin. She quickly excelled in her studies and began performing in local orchestras and competitions. Her talent was recognized by her teachers and peers, and she was awarded several scholarships to attend prestigious music schools. Lois attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied under the renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman. She graduated with honors and went on to perform with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra. One of Lois's most memorable performances was at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, where she performed the national anthem of the United States during the opening ceremony. Her performance was widely praised, and she received a standing ovation from the audience. In addition to her performances with orchestras, Lois has also released several solo albums. Her debut album, "Reflections," was released in 2010 and featured classical works by composers such as Bach and Mozart. The album received critical acclaim and was nominated for several awards. Lois has also been recognized for her philanthropic work. She has performed at numerous benefit concerts for organizations such as UNICEF and the American Red Cross. In 2012, she founded the Lois Anderson Foundation, which provides music education and instruments to underprivileged children. Throughout her career, Lois has received numerous awards and honors. In 2014, she was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which recognizes outstanding young musicians. She has also been awarded the National Medal of Arts and the Kennedy Center Honors. Despite her success, Lois remains humble and dedicated to her craft. She continues to perform and record music, and is passionate about sharing her love of classical music with others.
