Born on December 22, 1976, in Budapest, Hungary, Rohmann grew up in a family of musicians. Her father, László Rohmann, was a renowned pianist and her mother, Katalin Kokas, was a violinist. From a young age, Rohmann was exposed to classical music and began playing the cello at the age of six. Rohmann's talent was quickly recognized, and she began studying at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest at the age of 11. She continued her studies at the academy under the guidance of renowned cellist Miklós Perényi. Rohmann's talent and dedication to her craft were evident from the start, and she quickly gained recognition as a rising star in the classical music world. In 1995, Rohmann won first prize at the International Pablo Casals Cello Competition in Budapest, which marked a major turning point in her career.
