D.Z.O. Chamber Orchestra is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2005 in Moscow, Russia. The ensemble is known for its unique sound and innovative approach to classical music, which has earned it critical acclaim and a loyal following around the world. The founding members of D.Z.O. Chamber Orchestra were Dmitry Zhemkov, a renowned violinist and conductor, and his wife Olga Zhemkova, a talented cellist. The couple had previously performed together in various orchestras and ensembles, but they wanted to create something new and different that would allow them to showcase their own artistic vision. In addition to Dmitry Zhemkov and Olga Zhemkova, the ensemble includes violinists Maria Ivanova and Alexei Petrov, violist Ivan Petrov, cellist Anna Petrova, and bassist Sergei Ivanov. Together, these musicians have created a unique sound that blends the precision and technical skill of classical music with the energy and spontaneity of jazz and rock. Their performances are known for their dynamic range, expressive phrasing, and improvisational flair. One of the most memorable performances by D.Z.O. Chamber Orchestra was its collaboration with the legendary rock band Deep Purple in 2011. The two groups joined forces for a concert in Moscow that featured a mix of classical and rock music, including arrangements of Deep Purple's greatest hits. The concert was a huge success, with both the classical and rock fans in the audience responding enthusiastically to the fusion of styles. The collaboration also earned D.Z.O. Chamber Orchestra a nomination for a Grammy Award in the Best Rock Instrumental Performance category. In addition to its collaboration with Deep Purple, D.Z.O.
