Since its inception, the orchestra has become one of the most respected and beloved classical music ensembles in Spain. The main members of the Granada City Orchestra are its conductor, Josep Pons, and its principal violinist, Leticia Moreno. Pons has been the conductor of the orchestra since 2004 and has led the ensemble to numerous accolades and awards. Moreno, who joined the orchestra in 2007, is widely regarded as one of the most talented violinists of her generation. The Granada City Orchestra has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Carnegie Hall in New York.
