Marilyn Richardson is a renowned Australian soprano who has made a significant contribution to the world of classical music. Born on 22nd September 1954 in Sydney, Australia, Marilyn grew up in a family that was passionate about music. Her father was a jazz pianist, and her mother was a singer. Marilyn's parents recognized her talent for singing at a young age and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Marilyn began her formal training in music at the age of 16 when she enrolled at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She studied under the guidance of some of the most prominent music teachers in Australia, including Marjorie Mitchell and John Winther. Marilyn's talent and dedication to music were evident from the beginning, and she quickly established herself as a rising star in the Australian music scene. In 1976, Marilyn made her professional debut with the Australian Opera Company in the role of the Countess in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro. Her performance was widely acclaimed, and she soon became a regular performer with the company.
