Violeta Vicci was born on May 12, 1985, in Bucharest, Romania. She was born into a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a violinist. From a young age, Violeta showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. She quickly progressed and began performing in public at the age of six. Violeta's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She began studying at the National University of Music in Bucharest at the age of ten, where she studied under some of the most renowned piano teachers in Romania. She also attended masterclasses with famous pianists such as Martha Argerich and Radu Lupu. In 2003, Violeta won first prize at the George Enescu International Piano Competition, which launched her career as a professional pianist. She went on to win numerous other awards, including the International Piano Competition in Santander, Spain, and the International Piano Competition in Leeds, England. Violeta's performances have taken her all over the world, and she has played with some of the most prestigious orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. She has also performed at some of the most famous concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic Hall. One of Violeta's most memorable performances was at the 2008 Proms in London, where she played Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the London Symphony Orchestra. The performance was met with critical acclaim, and Violeta was praised for her technical skill and emotional depth. In addition to her performances, Violeta is also a dedicated teacher. She has taught masterclasses at universities and conservatories around the world, and she is currently a professor of piano at the National University of Music in Bucharest.
