Achilles Liarmakopoulos is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a trombonist, conductor, and educator. Born in Greece in 1984, Liarmakopoulos showed an early interest in music and began playing the trombone at the age of 12. He quickly developed a passion for the instrument and began studying with some of the best teachers in Greece. After completing his studies in Greece, Liarmakopoulos moved to the United States to pursue a career in music. He enrolled at the Boston Conservatory, where he studied with Norman Bolter and Douglas Yeo. During his time at the conservatory, Liarmakopoulos won several awards and competitions, including the Boston Conservatory Concerto Competition and the International Trombone Association's Robert Marsteller Competition. After graduating from the Boston Conservatory, Liarmakopoulos began performing with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. He also began touring extensively, performing in countries such as Japan, China, and Australia. In addition to his work as a performer, Liarmakopoulos is also an accomplished conductor and educator. He has conducted several orchestras, including the Boston Conservatory Orchestra and the New England Conservatory Trombone Choir. He has also taught at several institutions, including the Boston Conservatory and the Juilliard School. One of the highlights of Liarmakopoulos's career was his performance at the 2012 London Olympics.
