Born in Sweden in 1975, Paulsson showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents, both music teachers, recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Paulsson's early training was rigorous, and he spent countless hours practicing and studying music theory. He attended the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where he studied under some of the most respected music teachers in Sweden. He also spent time studying abroad, including a year at the Juilliard School in New York City. After completing his studies, Paulsson began performing professionally as a pianist and conductor.
