Tien Hsieh is a renowned classical pianist who has captivated audiences around the world with her virtuosic performances and deep musicality. Born in Taiwan in 1979, Hsieh showed an early aptitude for music and began studying piano at the age of four. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music, enrolling her in the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City when she was just 12 years old. At Juilliard, Hsieh studied with some of the most respected piano teachers in the world, including Yoheved Kaplinsky and Jerome Lowenthal. She has also given recitals at major concert halls and festivals around the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Ravinia Festival, and the Salzburg Festival. She has a particular affinity for the music of Chopin, and has recorded several albums of his works, including a critically acclaimed recording of his complete Nocturnes.
