From a young age, Vogler showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Dieter Zechlin, and graduated with honors in 1966. After completing his studies, Vogler began his career as a concert pianist, performing extensively throughout Europe and the United States. He quickly gained a reputation as a virtuoso pianist with a unique style and a deep understanding of the music he played. One of Vogler's most significant performances was at the Berlin Philharmonic in 1972, where he played Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, also known as the "Emperor" concerto. The performance was a huge success, and Vogler received critical acclaim for his interpretation of the piece.
