Milos Bydzovsky was born on May 12, 1985, in Prague, Czech Republic. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned classical guitarist. Milos started playing the guitar at the age of six, and by the time he was ten, he had already won his first competition. Milos received his formal education at the Prague Conservatory, where he studied under the tutelage of Professor Jiri Jirmal. He later continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he was mentored by Michael Lewin. During his time in London, Milos won several awards, including the Julian Bream Prize and the Ivor Mairants Guitar Award. Milos made his debut performance at the age of 14, playing the Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquin Rodrigo with the Prague Symphony Orchestra. This performance marked the beginning of a successful career for Milos, who has since performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic. One of Milos's most notable performances was his appearance at the BBC Proms in 2011, where he played Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. The performance was broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and was met with critical acclaim. Milos has also performed with other renowned orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to his performances as a soloist, Milos is also an accomplished chamber musician. He has collaborated with some of the world's leading musicians, including cellist Yo-Yo Ma and violinist Maxim Vengerov. Milos is also a member of the Milos Guitar Quartet, which he founded in 2010. Milos has released several albums throughout his career, including his debut album, Mediterraneo, which was released in 2011. The album features a collection of classical guitar pieces inspired by the Mediterranean region. The album was a commercial success, reaching number one on the UK Classical Chart and receiving critical acclaim. Milos's other albums include Latino, which features Latin American guitar music, and Blackbird: The Beatles Album, which features arrangements of Beatles songs for classical guitar. Milos has also released a Christmas album, Christmas with Milos, which features traditional Christmas carols arranged for classical guitar. Throughout his career, Milos has received numerous awards and accolades. In 2012, he was named the Gramophone Young Artist of the Year, and in 2013, he received the Echo Klassik Award for his album, Latino. Milos has also been awarded the Royal Philharmonic Society's Young Artist Award and the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award. Milos is known for his virtuosic playing and his ability to connect with audiences through his performances. He is a passionate advocate for classical guitar music and has worked to promote the instrument to a wider audience. Milos continues to perform and record, and his contributions to the world of classical music have made him one of the most respected and admired guitarists of his generation.
