David Hubbard was born on May 12, 1978, in New York City. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a jazz saxophonist and his mother a classical pianist. Hubbard showed an early interest in music and began playing the clarinet at the age of 8. Hubbard's talent was quickly recognized, and he began studying with renowned clarinetist Stanley Drucker at the Juilliard School. He continued his studies at the Manhattan School of Music, where he earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in clarinet performance. Throughout his career, Hubbard has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic.
