Born in Moscow, Russia, on August 15, 1972, Anna grew up in a family of musicians. Her father, Alexander Rabinovitch, was a well-known violinist, and her mother, Irina Bochkova, was a pianist. Anna's parents recognized her talent for music at a young age and encouraged her to pursue it. Anna began playing the violin at the age of five and quickly showed a natural aptitude for the instrument. She received her first lessons from her father and later studied at the Moscow Central Music School. At the age of 12, Anna won first prize at the International Youth Competition in Prague, which marked the beginning of her successful career as a violinist. In 1985, Anna and her family moved to Israel, where she continued her studies at the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv. She studied under the guidance of renowned violinist Ilona Feher and graduated with honors in 1991. During her time at the academy, Anna won several awards, including the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship and the Clairmont Prize. After completing her studies, Anna moved to the United States to further her career as a violinist. She enrolled at the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied with Dorothy DeLay and Hyo Kang.
