Sergei Babayan is a renowned classical pianist known for his virtuosic performances and deep musical interpretations. Born on January 1, 1961, in Gyumri, Armenia, Babayan showed an early aptitude for music and began studying piano at the age of six. He quickly demonstrated exceptional talent and was accepted into the Tchaikovsky Music School in Moscow at the age of ten. Under the tutelage of renowned pianist Vera Gornostaeva, Babayan honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of the classical repertoire. He went on to study at the Moscow Conservatory, where he received his master's degree in piano performance. Babayan's career as a concert pianist began in the 1980s, when he won several prestigious international competitions, including the Casagrande Competition in Italy and the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition in Japan. These victories brought him to the attention of the classical music world, and he soon began performing in major concert halls around the world.
