Olivier Gourdy is a French classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a cellist and conductor. Born in Paris in 1975, Gourdy showed an early interest in music and began playing the cello at the age of six. He quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument and began studying with some of the best teachers in France. As a young musician, Gourdy was drawn to the works of the great composers of the classical and romantic eras, such as Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms.
