Clemens Linder is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for himself in the world of music. Born on 14th May 1987 in Vienna, Austria, Clemens showed an early interest in music and began playing the cello at the age of six. His parents, who were both musicians, recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Clemens received his early music education at the Vienna Music School, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned cellist, Wolfgang Herzer. He later went on to study at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in cello performance. During his time at the university, Clemens had the opportunity to work with some of the most renowned cellists in the world, including Heinrich Schiff, Gautier Capuçon, and Steven Isserlis. He also participated in masterclasses with Yo-Yo Ma, Mischa Maisky, and David Geringas, among others. Clemens' talent and dedication to his craft did not go unnoticed, and he soon began to receive invitations to perform at major music festivals and concerts around the world. In 2010, he was invited to perform at the Salzburg Festival, where he played alongside the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel. In 2012, Clemens won first prize at the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Austria, which further cemented his reputation as one of the most talented cellists of his generation. He has since gone on to win numerous other awards, including the Grand Prix Emanuel Feuermann in Berlin and the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. Clemens has performed with some of the most prestigious orchestras in the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors, including Daniel Barenboim, Sir Simon Rattle, and Valery Gergiev. One of the highlights of Clemens' career was his performance of the Dvořák Cello Concerto with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra at the Musikverein in Vienna in 2015. The performance was hailed as a triumph, with critics praising Clemens' virtuosity and emotional depth. Clemens is also a passionate chamber musician and has collaborated with some of the most renowned chamber ensembles in the world, including the Artemis Quartet and the Hagen Quartet. He is a founding member of the Trio Marvin, which has won numerous awards and performed at major music festivals around the world. In addition to his performing career, Clemens is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. He has taught masterclasses at some of the most prestigious music schools in the world, including the Juilliard School in New York and the Royal Academy of Music in London.
