After completing her studies at the National Conservatory of Music, Eunice moved to the United States to further her education. She enrolled in the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where she studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Leon Fleisher.
