Amit Peled is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a cellist, conductor, and pedagogue. Born on April 27, 1973, in Jerusalem, Israel, Peled grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a violinist, and his mother was a pianist. Peled started playing the cello at the age of 10 and quickly showed exceptional talent. Peled's musical education began at the Jerusalem Music Center, where he studied with the renowned cellist and pedagogue, Uzi Wiesel. He later went on to study at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music. Peled also studied with Bernard Greenhouse, the legendary cellist of the Beaux Arts Trio, who became his mentor and had a profound influence on his musical development. Peled's career as a cellist took off in the early 2000s when he won several prestigious competitions, including the Aviv Competition in Israel and the Pablo Casals International Cello Competition in France.
