Tiberius Simu is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on January 15, 1985, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Tiberius showed an early interest in music. His parents, who were both music teachers, recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion. At the age of six, Tiberius began taking piano lessons, and by the time he was ten, he had already won his first national piano competition. His talent was evident, and he continued to excel in his studies. In 1999, he was accepted into the prestigious George Enescu Music High School in Bucharest, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Viniciu Moroianu. In 2007, Tiberius was awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Christopher Elton. During his time at the Royal Academy of Music, Tiberius continued to excel in his studies and won several awards, including the Harold Craxton Prize for Piano Accompaniment in 2008. After completing his studies at the Royal Academy of Music, Tiberius began to establish himself as a soloist and chamber musician. He has performed in numerous concerts and recitals throughout Europe, Asia, and North America, and has collaborated with many renowned musicians, including violinist Maxim Vengerov and cellist Steven Isserlis. Tiberius has also won several prestigious awards throughout his career. In 2010, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in San Marino, and in 2012, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Rome.
