Maria Scivittaro was born on May 12, 1985, in Palermo, Italy. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her father being a pianist and her mother a singer. From a young age, Maria showed a natural talent for music and began studying piano at the age of five. As she grew older, Maria's passion for music only intensified. She began studying at the Conservatory of Palermo, where she focused on piano performance and music theory. During her time at the conservatory, Maria had the opportunity to work with some of the most renowned musicians in Italy, including pianist Maurizio Baglini and composer Salvatore Sciarrino. After completing her studies at the conservatory, Maria continued her education at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. There, she studied under the guidance of pianist Sergio Perticaroli and composer Ivan Fedele. It was during this time that Maria began to develop her own unique style, blending classical techniques with contemporary influences. Maria's talent and hard work paid off when she won several prestigious awards, including the International Piano Competition "Città di Marsala" and the International Piano Competition "Premio Città di Imola." These victories helped to establish Maria as one of the most promising young pianists in Italy. In 2010, Maria made her debut as a soloist with the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3. The performance was a resounding success, and Maria was praised for her technical skill and emotional depth. This performance marked the beginning of a long and successful career as a concert pianist. Over the years, Maria has performed with some of the most renowned orchestras in the world, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic.
