Atlantis Ensemble is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2006 by a group of talented musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The ensemble is based in the Netherlands and is known for its innovative and dynamic performances that showcase the beauty and complexity of classical music. The founding members of Atlantis Ensemble were violinist Diamanda La Berge Dramm, cellist Amber Docters van Leeuwen, and pianist Saskia Lankhoorn. One of the highlights of Atlantis Ensemble's early career was their performance at the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam in 2007. The Grachtenfestival is a prestigious music festival that showcases the best young talent in classical music, and Atlantis Ensemble's performance was widely praised for its energy and creativity. In the years that followed, Atlantis Ensemble continued to build a reputation as one of the most exciting and innovative classical music ensembles in the Netherlands. The ensemble's performances were characterized by their technical precision, emotional depth, and imaginative interpretations of classical repertoire. One of the most notable performances in Atlantis Ensemble's history was their collaboration with the Dutch National Ballet in 2012. The ensemble provided live accompaniment for a performance of Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring," which was choreographed by acclaimed choreographer Krzysztof Pastor. The performance was a huge success, and it cemented Atlantis Ensemble's reputation as a versatile and dynamic ensemble that could excel in a variety of contexts. In 2010, the ensemble won the Kersjesprijs, which is one of the most prestigious awards for classical music in the Netherlands.
