The Soloists of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie is a renowned classical music ensemble that has been captivating audiences around the world with their exceptional performances. The ensemble was founded in 1992 by members of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, a German chamber orchestra that was established in 1980. The founding members of the Soloists of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie were all accomplished musicians who had already made a name for themselves in the classical music world. They included violinists Andreas Krecher and Christiane Edinger, violist Tabea Zimmermann, cellist Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, and double bassist Nabil Shehata. From the very beginning, the ensemble was committed to performing a wide range of classical music repertoire, from Baroque to contemporary works. They quickly gained a reputation for their exceptional musicianship and their ability to bring a fresh perspective to even the most well-known pieces. Over the years, the Soloists of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie have performed at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls and music festivals. They have collaborated with many of the world's leading conductors and soloists, including Sir Simon Rattle, Martha Argerich, and Anne-Sophie Mutter. One of the highlights of the ensemble's career was their performance at the 2006 BBC Proms, where they received a standing ovation for their rendition of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9. The performance was broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and was later released on CD. The Soloists of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie have also been recognized for their outstanding contributions to classical music. In 2003, they were awarded the Echo Klassik award for their recording of Mozart's Piano Concertos Nos. 20 and 21 with pianist Lars Vogt. They have also received critical acclaim for their recordings of works by Bach, Brahms, and Schubert. Despite their many achievements, the Soloists of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie remain committed to their mission of bringing classical music to a wider audience. They regularly perform in schools and community centers, and they have also established a music education program for young musicians in Bremen. Today, the ensemble continues to be led by its founding members, who are joined by a rotating cast of talented musicians from around the world. Their commitment to excellence and their passion for classical music have made them one of the most respected and beloved ensembles in the world of classical music.
