Ursula Engert was born on May 12, 1985, in Berlin, Germany. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Ursula showed a keen interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Ursula's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She began taking lessons with renowned violinists in Germany and quickly gained recognition for her exceptional talent. At the age of 12, Ursula won first prize in the prestigious Jugend musiziert competition, which is a national competition for young musicians in Germany. Ursula continued to excel in her studies and was accepted into the prestigious Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. She studied under the guidance of Professor Ulf Wallin, who recognized her exceptional talent and helped her develop her skills as a violinist. During her time at the Hanns Eisler School of Music, Ursula had the opportunity to perform in several major concerts and competitions. In 2005, she won first prize in the International Violin Competition in Kloster Schöntal, Germany. This was a major achievement for Ursula, as the competition is known for its high level of competition and rigorous judging process. Ursula's success in the competition led to several major performance opportunities. She was invited to perform with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, two of the most prestigious orchestras in Germany. She also performed in several major music festivals, including the Salzburg Festival and the Lucerne Festival. In 2007, Ursula was awarded the prestigious German Music Prize, which is awarded to outstanding musicians who have made significant contributions to the music industry in Germany. This was a major achievement for Ursula, as the prize is only awarded to a select few musicians each year. Ursula continued to perform and record music throughout her career, collaborating with some of the most renowned musicians in the world. She recorded several albums, including a critically acclaimed recording of Bach's Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin. In addition to her career as a performer, Ursula was also a dedicated teacher.
