Jennie McLachlan was born on May 12, 1985, in Edinburgh, Scotland. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Jennie showed a natural talent for music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Jennie's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She began taking lessons with renowned violinists in Scotland and quickly gained a reputation as a prodigy. At the age of 12, she was accepted into the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School in London, where she studied under the guidance of Professor Natasha Boyarsky.
