Raphaël Jouan is a French cellist who has established himself as one of the most promising young musicians of his generation. Born in 1993 in Paris, Jouan began playing the cello at the age of six and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he was a student of Philippe Muller and Jean-Guihen Queyras.
