Lev Shinder was born on May 15, 1985, in Moscow, Russia. He was born into a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Lev showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Lev's parents recognized his talent and enrolled him in the Central Music School in Moscow, where he received his formal training in piano. He quickly excelled in his studies and was soon performing in concerts and competitions. In 2003, Lev was accepted into the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, one of the most prestigious music schools in Russia. There, he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and professor, Sergei Dorensky. Lev's talent and hard work paid off, and he graduated with honors in 2008. After graduation, Lev began performing in concerts and competitions around the world. He quickly gained a reputation as a talented and passionate pianist, with a unique style that blended classical and contemporary music. One of Lev's most notable performances was at the 2010 International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. He performed Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor, Op. 23, and received a standing ovation from the audience. Lev's performance was praised for its technical skill and emotional depth, and he was awarded the Silver Medal. In 2012, Lev was invited to perform at the Carnegie Hall in New York City. He performed a program that included works by Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff. The concert was a huge success, and Lev received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. Over the years, Lev has received numerous awards and accolades for his performances. In 2014, he was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland. In 2016, he was awarded the Gold Medal at the International Piano Competition in Geneva, Switzerland. In addition to his performances, Lev is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. He has taught masterclasses at music schools and universities around the world, and has mentored many young pianists who have gone on to successful careers in music. Lev's passion for music and his dedication to his craft have made him one of the most respected and admired pianists of his generation.
