Johanna Rusanen is a Finnish soprano who has made a name for herself in the world of classical music. Born on May 22, 1978, in Helsinki, Finland, Rusanen grew up in a family of musicians. Her father was a cellist, and her mother was a pianist. From a young age, Rusanen showed a keen interest in music and began taking piano lessons at the age of six. As Rusanen grew older, she became more interested in singing and began taking voice lessons. She attended the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, where she studied under the tutelage of Ritva Auvinen. After completing her studies at the academy, Rusanen went on to study at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg in Austria. Rusanen's career as a professional singer began in 2003 when she made her debut at the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki.
