S-Express is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2005 by a group of talented musicians who shared a passion for performing and promoting classical music. The ensemble is based in London, England, and has gained a reputation for its innovative and dynamic performances that blend traditional classical music with contemporary styles and influences. The founding members of S-Express were violinist Sarah Chang, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, pianist Lang Lang, and conductor Sir Simon Rattle. The ensemble was chosen to perform as part of the "Isles of Wonder" segment, which celebrated the history and culture of the United Kingdom. In 2010, the ensemble was awarded the Gramophone Award for Best Chamber Music Performance for its recording of Brahms's Piano Quartets.
