Martin Listams Vokalensemble is a renowned classical music ensemble that has been captivating audiences with its exceptional performances for over two decades. The ensemble was founded in 1999 by Martin Listam, a Swedish conductor and composer, who had a vision of creating a vocal group that would specialize in performing early music. The ensemble's main members are highly skilled and experienced vocalists who have dedicated their lives to the art of singing. They include sopranos Maria Keohane and Susanne Rydén, altos David Erler and Jakob Bloch Jespersen, tenors Jan Kobow and Anders J. Dahlin, and basses Jakob Högström and Jakob Bloch Jespersen. Martin Listams Vokalensemble has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls and festivals around the world, including the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and the Salzburg Festival. The ensemble has also collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors and orchestras, such as Sir John Eliot Gardiner and the English Baroque Soloists. One of the highlights of the ensemble's career was its performance of Bach's St. Matthew Passion at the Salzburg Festival in 2000.
