Orchestre Raymonde is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2011 by conductor and pianist, Raymonde Chen. The ensemble is based in Paris, France and is known for its unique blend of classical and contemporary music. Raymonde Chen, the founder of the ensemble, was born in Taiwan and began playing the piano at the age of four. She later studied at the National Taiwan Normal University and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. Chen has performed as a soloist and conductor with numerous orchestras around the world, including the National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan, the Orchestre National de Lorraine, and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. The ensemble's main members include musicians from around the world, including France, Taiwan, Japan, and the United States. The ensemble's core members include violinists Yuki Nakajima and Marie-Ange Nguci, violist Raphaël Jouan, cellist Yan Levionnois, and flutist Juliette Hurel. Orchestre Raymonde has performed at numerous prestigious venues around the world, including the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the National Concert Hall in Taipei, and the Suntory Hall in Tokyo. The ensemble has also collaborated with renowned soloists, including pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet and cellist Gautier Capuçon. The ensemble performed a program of works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms, which was met with critical acclaim.
