Born on October 22, 1987, in Budapest, Hungary, Lakner showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He was enrolled in the Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest, where he received his formal training in classical music. Lakner's talent and dedication to music were evident from an early age, and he quickly rose to prominence in the Hungarian music scene. He won his first major competition, the National Piano Competition for Young Musicians, at the age of 12. This early success paved the way for Lakner's future career as a concert pianist.
