John New was born on May 15, 1985, in London, England. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, John showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. John's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly developed his skills. By the age of ten, John had already won several local piano competitions and was invited to perform at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall. In 1997, John was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Maria João Pires.
