Innovation Chamber Ensemble is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2010 by a group of young musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The ensemble is based in New York City and is known for its innovative programming and dynamic performances. The founding members of Innovation Chamber Ensemble were violinist Sarah Whitney, violist Colin Brookes, cellist Michael Katz, and pianist David Kaplan. All four musicians had studied at top music schools and had performed with major orchestras and ensembles before coming together to form the ensemble. From the beginning, Innovation Chamber Ensemble set out to explore new ways of presenting classical music to audiences. The ensemble's repertoire includes both traditional chamber music works and contemporary pieces, and the musicians often incorporate multimedia elements into their performances. One of the highlights of Innovation Chamber Ensemble's early years was a performance at the Lincoln Center's Bruno Walter Auditorium in 2011. The ensemble presented a program of works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Shostakovich, as well as a new piece by composer David Bruce. The performance was well-received by both audiences and critics, and helped to establish the ensemble as a rising star in the classical music world. Innovation Chamber Ensemble has also been recognized for its educational outreach efforts. The ensemble has performed at schools and community centers throughout New York City, and has worked with young musicians to help them develop their skills and appreciation for classical music. In 2013, Innovation Chamber Ensemble was awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to support its work in bringing classical music to underserved communities. The grant allowed the ensemble to expand its outreach efforts and reach even more people with its performances and educational programs. Innovation Chamber Ensemble has continued to perform regularly in New York City and beyond, and has collaborated with a wide range of musicians and artists. The ensemble's members have also pursued individual careers as soloists and chamber musicians, but have remained committed to the ensemble's mission of bringing innovative and engaging classical music performances to audiences around the world.More....
