He was the son of a music teacher and grew up in a musical family. His father was a pianist and his mother was a singer, and they both encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Lindh began playing the piano at a young age and later learned to play the flute. He studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and later at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He was influenced by jazz and classical music and combined these styles in his compositions. Lindh began his career as a session musician and played with several Swedish bands in the 1960s and 1970s. He also worked as a composer for film and television and wrote music for several Swedish films and TV shows. In 1976, Lindh released his first solo album, "Sissel," which was a fusion of jazz and classical music. The album was well-received and established Lindh as a solo artist. He went on to release several more albums, including "Ramadan" (1979), "Får Jag Lämna Några Blommor" (1980), and "Atlantis" (1983). Lindh's music was characterized by his use of the flute and his ability to blend different musical styles. He often incorporated elements of Swedish folk music into his compositions, as well as jazz, rock, and classical music. His music was also known for its atmospheric and cinematic quality, which made it popular for use in film and television. One of Lindh's most famous works is the soundtrack for the Swedish film "The Adventures of Picasso" (1978). The film was directed by Tage Danielsson and starred Gösta Ekman as the famous artist. Lindh's soundtrack was praised for its playful and whimsical quality, which captured the spirit of the film. Lindh also collaborated with several other musicians throughout his career. He worked with the Swedish jazz group Egba on their album "Egba" (1978) and with the Swedish rock band Nationalteatern on their album "Livet Är En Fest" (1974). In addition to his work as a musician, Lindh was also a music educator. He taught at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and was a mentor to several young musicians.
