SKARK Ensemble is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2008 in Oslo, Norway. The ensemble is known for its unique approach to classical music, which combines traditional classical music with contemporary and experimental elements. The ensemble's name, SKARK, is an acronym for "Sinfonietta for Kvalitet, Aktivitet, Rettferdighet og Kreativitet" (Sinfonietta for Quality, Activity, Justice, and Creativity). The founding members of SKARK Ensemble were violinist and artistic director Kari Rønnekleiv, cellist Tanja Orning, and percussionist Håkon Stene.
