Credo Chamber Choir of Kiev is a renowned classical music artist that has been captivating audiences with their exceptional performances for over two decades. The choir was founded in 1992 by conductor Bogdan Plish, who had a vision of creating a world-class choir that would showcase the rich musical heritage of Ukraine to the world. The choir started with just a handful of members, but over the years, it has grown to become one of the most respected and sought-after choirs in the world. The choir's repertoire includes a wide range of classical music, from Renaissance and Baroque to contemporary works, and they have performed in some of the most prestigious venues around the world. One of the highlights of the choir's early years was their performance at the International Festival of Sacred Music in Rome in 1995. The choir's performance was so well-received that they were invited back to the festival the following year, and they have since become regular performers at the festival. In 1997, the choir won first prize at the International Festival of Orthodox Church Music in Moscow, which was a significant achievement for the choir and helped to establish their reputation as one of the leading choirs in the world. Over the years, the choir has collaborated with many renowned conductors and musicians, including Mykola Hobdych, Oleksandr Koshyts, and Oleksandr Levko. They have also worked with many leading orchestras, including the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, the Kiev Chamber Orchestra, and the Kiev Philharmonic Orchestra. One of the choir's most memorable performances was their rendition of Rachmaninoff's All-Night Vigil, which they performed at the Kiev Opera House in 2003. The performance was a huge success, and it was later released as a CD, which received critical acclaim and helped to further establish the choir's reputation as one of the leading choirs in the world. In 2005, the choir embarked on a tour of the United States, where they performed in some of the country's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York City and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The tour was a huge success, and it helped to introduce the choir to a wider audience in the United States. In 2012, the choir celebrated its 20th anniversary with a series of concerts in Kiev and other cities in Ukraine. The concerts were a celebration of the choir's achievements over the past two decades, and they were attended by thousands of people who came to hear the choir perform some of their most beloved works. Over the years, the choir has received many awards and accolades for their exceptional performances. In addition to their win at the International Festival of Orthodox Church Music in Moscow, they have also won first prize at the International Festival of Sacred Music in Rome and the International Festival of Choral Music in Budapest. The choir's recordings have also received critical acclaim, and they have won several awards, including the Grand Prix at the International Festival of Sacred Music in Rome and the Golden Disc award in Ukraine. Today, Credo Chamber Choir of Kiev continues to be one of the leading choirs in the world, and they are known for their exceptional performances and their commitment to preserving and promoting the rich musical heritage of Ukraine.
